I just purchased a 1994 Pro-Line 231WA, my purchase was so recent that I don't even have the boat yet.  I live in Ohio and I purchased the boat from a guy in Georgia.  He is driving the boat to me in Ohio next Saturday.

The boat has a bimini top with a gap between the front of the bimini and the top of the windshield.  I live in northern Ohio and boat on Lake Erie.  I have looked at the hard top versions of this boat and they have Eisenglass between the hard top and the top of the windshield that would keep the water out and block the wind.

Has anyone enclosed their small bimini top by putting a strip of Eisenglass between the bimini and the windshield?  I think I would also need clear side panels to stay dry from water coming from the sides along with the cold air.  As I look at the pictures of the boat and top it appears that I may have to have something custom made from scratch because I don't think there is a way to change or modify he existing bimini to get what I want.

Any pics or suggestions to do what I want?  Basically I am looking for a way to add Eisenglass or Sunbrella material to enclose the helm area of the boat.

Thanks,
Russ

My 251 was bought with a full bimini top with enclosures.

The front eisenglass zippered to the top and snapped to the windshield. The windshield rim has a feature which allows stainless clips to attach. Snaps are fastened to these for the enclosures. I don't what these things are called?Huh?? Maybe some one will chime in.

Not hard to have made.

Thanks for the pic, that is exactly what I was talking about  Thumbs Up

Did you have the work done at a local canvas shop?  Do you remember about how much they charged you for the work?

most boat canvas Guys can make that stuff for you , ive seen a few locally made that look great. the cost will have a couple variables including the type of clear plastic they use, there are a couple kinds from strataglass to eisinglass , also the back curtain will add to cost. dont knowif canvas guy(CUSHIONGUY) here can do a quote or if he does tops.   but give him an email and see what he thinks.
