We just put her in the water for the first time in 20 years.  This is a 1973 Proline 24 that we bought as a bare hull 4 years ago.  She now has a new life as a fishing and dive boat off the West Coast and Sea of Cortez.  Can't wait to she how she does in the ocean.

Is that one of those prefab pilot houses out of southern california?
If so how well did it fit up to cabin top and sidewings?

was it expensive?did you completely refit and repower? , and was it more or less difficult than anticipated.? looks like a faralon or davis now.
who did the high rails?

We put on a Pacific Pilothouse out of the San Diego area.  The pilothouse was complete with base that goes to the floor.  The boat started with just a bare hull,  all new stringers and floors made of Nida-Core.  Completely plummed under floors and filled with closed cell foam. We fabricated the front deck out of Nida-Core.  No wood on this boat anywhere.  It now has two large fish holds with salt water sprayers, 3'x3' ice chest under the deck, self bailing rear deck and a head.  It was re-powered with a low hour 2003 225hp Merc.  It was more work than expected but not that difficult.  I have a tube bender and made the rails myself.  She still needs the upholstery redone on canvas on the top for shade. The Pilothouse was around 6k and I have a total of about 25k with everything invested.

Well I guess I do have some wood.  I did not replace the transom, what I did is custom build a motor extentsion that covers 90% of the transom. Then I placed a 3/8" aluminum plate inside and sandwiched the transom. IF that makes any sense.  I did replace all of the stringers.  I will try and post some pictures.
