Anybody ever had to re-bed there hard-top attachment points.  Loving my 1994 231 W/A, maybe too much.  She is racking up the hours under my ownership, and I have two attachment points that have started to work loose.  One, the port front stanchion over the cabin, Two, the starboard middle stanchion just behind the helm.

What was originally put into these joints?  4200 or similiar?  Parts are through bolted, but the one behind the helm appears to be screwed in.  I figure to 5200-in the screws, use 4200 elsewhere.  How's the plan sound?

Otherwise, love my ride...

Airslot,
Love the old Wellcraft name.  All the pads on the legs of the Hardtop should be t/bolted.  The bedding material was a polyurethane adhesive simalar to 5200/4200/Boatlife.  There should be some sort of access close to the middle legs where you can get to the nuts inside the port and starboard wings.

The easiest way to re-bed is to remove the nuts and backing plates, pry up a 1/4" or so with a stout 2 X 4, then re-bed and tighten everything back down.  I would suggest new bolts and lock nuts.  I don't like to reuse lock nuts and bolts, they tend to want to lock up quite readily...

Appreciate the feedback.  Sounds like a fun project for the next weekend it blows to hard to fish...

Ran a 21' Airslot for a bunch of years about the time all these forums were born...hence the name.

Just to have some fun, me too.
I'm quite familiar with the AIRSLOTS.
Was very involved.
Some of us are the "older gentlemen".

Bob, where you been man?
I really need you over at the THT site.
There's some PRO-LINE issues that I'm just not that good with, some tech issues.
Brad's helping with one and I was expecting you to come in on it?
You on vacation?
