So I posted a question or two on another website (HT) and with my thoughtful replies came an invitation to visit and register at Prolineowners.com....
What a neat Proline specific website you have here- well done!
My wife and I recently purchased a 1998 241 WA with a 350 Chevy engine powering a Mercruiser I/O with a Bravo II outdrive with about 800 freshwater use only hours.
We will use boat this primarily as a salmon trolling boat in Lake Michigan (Wisconsin side) with some dive trips and overnighting from time to time.
This is our first I/O boat and so far so good- except for the much different turning radius and handling characteristics. I'm not confident or comfortable yet coming into or leaving slips or other tight quarters at this point.
Additions and upgrades so far since the posted picture was taken:
Added Big Jon Protournament electric down riggers x 2.
Added Traxstech track systems for downriggers, additional rod holders and additional cleats.
Added Lowrance 525 DF GPS graph flushmounted into glovebox..
Wish list and upgrades planned:
Apppropriate anchor and rode needed. (Current anchor too small for overnight or emergency anchoring. Any and all suggestions welcome)
Aftermarket trim tabs wanted.
sprayer and hose for deck washdown needed.
Table leg for cabin table needed.
We look forward to making friends on this website and talking with other Pro-Line owners and we welcome any or all comments on this particular boat or anything else that will enhance our Pro-Line ownership experience.
Regards,
Tim and Stacie
