I ust bought a 1994 240 WA and I am pretty happy with it, design wise. There are just a few things that I am going to re-do in addition to all of the repairs that I need to make.

As far as mods are concerned, the first thing I need is someplace for the admiral to command from. The PO removed the co-pilot seat due to the tiny created in between pilot and co-pilot seats. Now there's only one pilot seat and it is pretty big. I can slim that down with a new helm chair, but I'm interested to see what other owners have done to correct this small inconvenience. I've toyed with the idea of building a box on which to mount a shorter pedestal and set the seat back a few inches.

Next is the baitwell. I've got one of those 5 gallon bucket, cylindrical bait tanks on the port side of the transom. That's nice for pogy and shrimp, but I can't keep hardtail in there. I want to cut a hole and build a "bath tub" bait tank to occupy the whole space presently used by the bucket and the starboard compartment. The problem is something that size is going to be heavy when filled. Anyone got any ideas about building and bracing a large, 30+ gallon bait tank? I'm planning on building it with corecell and glass using all existing plumbing, but throwing in a couple of LED lights too.

By the way, does anyone know if the floor is cored, and if so, what with? Mine is soft and needs to be replaced. I haven't started digging yet, but I just want to be prepared for what I might find!
