You caught five keepers around the Hampton Va. area? If so thats doing pretty good and were you fishing the hampton bar? If so how deep was the water you fished?

I have caught two over 19' there this summer but I have not fished there very much and I did not have any live bait. In the past I have had pretty good luck fishing over the tube in around 30' of water on the hampton side.

When the mullet are in the creeks it seems that they will eat that better. I usually put out the minnow trap and try to get some LARGE bull minnows. I also will use sabaki rigs(small hooks) and small pcs of bloodworm fishbites to catch some live bait(small small spot/croaker). I also will bring 1 white squid.(mullet, minnows, squid, croaker, spot) This way I can find what they are like to eat and be able to switch up if needed. This buffet of bait does not always happen though. Remember big fish like big bait. Where do you live? Do you have trouble getting people to go fish'n? I do so I fish alone sometimes. Striper fish'n is a bit more complex so I will need a bud.
