Cuddy Storage

Hi everyone, I purchased a new 20 Express last August and absolutely love the boat. It is powered by a 150 E-tec and hits about 42mph. Great for skiing and fishing but I have a little issue with storage space on the boat. I was thinking about cutting a hole underneath the cushions in the cuddy. What is in there and is this possible? Also what would you recommend as the maximum sea conditions to run this boat? I should mention that it also has the hardtop.

You can cut an inspection hole, but id wait to find out whats in there first , Larger boats do have cutouts for storage up there ,but in a 20 it might be part of the floatation ,or there might just  be too little useable room , or   even, it could be a  semi striuctural area that stiffens the hull.

Cutting into the cabin liner in the v berth area will provide very little usable space. the sole of the liner is bonded directly to the stringer grid, cutting of those stringers will severly damage the hull intergity.
