Good Evening, All,
My name is Bob Christiansen.  I am a Production Engineer at Pro-Line, I just celebrated my 3rd year with the company last week.  Now, I could go on and on about how Pro-Lines are constructed, what materials we use, what hardware and components comprise the boat at the assembly level, etc., etc. If anyone wants to know that info, I will be happy to tell them.  If anyone is interested in a new Pro-Line, I'll be happy to tell you what ever you want to know about the boats in our current lineup.

But I think Bob's approach here is to help Pro-Line Owners with their individual concerns, problems, fixes, upgrades, rigging issues, electrical issues, plumbing issues, and the like.  Prior to my position as an engineer, I actually built boats for Wellcraft, Hydra-Sports, Intrepid, and Stamas Yacht.  15 years worth.  It was truly the job of building boats that gave me the real insight to be able to engineer them.  I also have a great deal of experience with the installation of electronics, from Radars, Autopilots, on down to the simplest of Fish Finders, especially the builders methods to rig them.

This may be a short and concise introduction, but I'll be honest with you.  I am the lone person building boats for the last 2 months.  Kind of scary.  A plant that used to employ 400 people, and I'm the only one out in the plant.  Hanging motors.  Wiring a console.  Installing a Vacuflush.  By yourself.  It's very quiet...

So, feel free to ask me whatever you want.  It is my pleasure to be of whatever assistance I can.

BTW, this would be me...

John,
Sorry, no Donzi.  Just down the street at Wellcraft, '94-'00.  Stamas Yacht, '00-'06, Pro-Line from '06 'til now.  Also did a couple of very short stints with Hydra-Sports when they were still up in Columbia, SC, and with Intrepid.  Matter of fact, the guy who runs sub-assy at Donzi was my first boss at Wellcraft, and the Lam Manager at Donzi was my inspector.  The boat business is truly a small world! Hello Bob. Thanks in advance for any help and advice you can provide. I'm a new member to the forum. I just purchased a 1986 21' center console and had a question regarding the max weight for an outboard on this hull. I'm thinking of re-powering and do not want to exceed weight specs.

Any info on this will be appreciated. Thanks, Jim.

Jim,
Check my post to your question in General Discussion.  "Propulsion Equipment" has always been a "Constant" in figuring capacity amounts for boats per NMMA as well as ABYC.  A very ambiguous figure.  Now, go to my post. Cheesy
