Water collects in front of both chairs and wont drain to the back of the boat.  Design flaw?  is there anything I can do besides have a 300 pound man stand at the stern to allow the water to drain to the back of the boat?

2nd question..   My 25 walk came equipped with a single 225 Opti  mounted  to a bracket.  when its time to repower is it possible to repower with twin 150's?  will they hang off that bracket?

Brian,
How about 2 300lb. men?  Yeah, something that should have been addressed when the boat was built.  But I do have a fix.  It will only cost you a few bucks.  First, determine the area that the water seems to pool.  Forward corner by the helm?  Aft corner by the seat base?  At this point, in the sole, you'll want to install one of these, from Marine East.  Now you say, "well, how the hell do I do that?  By installing a 6" access pie in the wing directly above it.  Both sides.  That way you can both install the drain elbow AND the t/hull that will drain the water overboard.  This is exactly how we drain those same areas on the current 23 and 26 Expresses.

Now, as far as repowering.  Unfortunately, if the 25 Walk was ordered as a single, the bracket installed was built for one engine, i.e. narrow.  Twins got a much wider bracket, engine-mounting area wise.  Stainless Marine in Opalocka made them for us.  To repower with twins would require that other bracket.  We might have one lying around out back, I would have to find out.  But there is always the option of going with a single Opti 300XS, Verado 300, Suzuki 300 (my personal favorite), or an Etec 300.  All excellent motors.  The Opti would be the most logical from a cost standpoint as it can be configured in both DTS and non-DTS form, so your rigging would be compatable.

And BTW, if no one has told you, WELCOME!!! Grin

I hope this helps.  The helm and passenger seat drains are the easy part.  The repowering?  Decisions, decisions... Cool

I think if it were me, I would simply broom out the puddle after a wash down and/or place some thick honey combed rubber mats there.

Warren,
I used to work on a friend of mines 2950 (225 EFIs) for about 6 years.  Anytime there was an issue at the helm, I used to cuss Proline for not putting drains there....
