I'm seriosly considering buying this boat with twin 200hp. yamaha's does anyone know any specs on this boat ie fuel capacity ,miles per galon, can it run 150-200 miles a trip offshore and is it a good ride?should I worry because of the wooden stringers?I like what I see but it's what I can't see that scares me

I've got an 87 21 walk with 87 Yammi 200 with oil injection.  Nice motor...good performance and economy.  Never saw salt tho.    With an outboard, you can generally assume 1gph per 10 HP at WOT.  That would be 40gph with twin 200s at WOT.  Range depends on speed, tank capacity and ability to trim out efficiently.  Bob can tell you tank size, but your rig should easily be able to make 150mi round trips.

RE wood stringers...all I can say is get down on your belly with a bright flashlight and a long screwdriver.  Poke around.  Open up every deckplate and every point of access and jiggerpoke.  A soft spot on the deck may not mean a stringer problem.  My little brother weighs 250lbs, so it was good to have him stomp around on the deck, and I would inspect underneath any point that flexed.

thanks for the info. I like talking to people who personaly own these boats in that time era. I understand about speed, wind, tide run, ie, on gph I can't find out how big the tank is, this guy bought it a couple years ago and he does not have a clue, and I seen an o-henry a while back that was rot out from the wood and encased in fiberglass

Capt. Joe,
Have you called the plant and asked for CS to find the tank size?  Jim or Faron in CS, 352-795-4111.
