I am thinking of trying a 4 blade prop to obtain more bow lift. Do you have any test data or observations.

I currently have a 16Dx18.5P stainless prop on my Suzuki DF225, pushing my 24 super sport.

Thanks,
Warren

Warren,
I assume you meant "stern lift".  That being said, yes, a 4-blade will give you stern lift, improve your holeshots, and give you better cruising speed VS RPM and fuel usage.  Your top end will suffer a tad.

If I were to go with a 4-blade, I would reduce the diameter, as this is truly "physical" material that water can act upon, thus increasing drag.  Pitch is still basically theoretical as the hydrodynamics of the forces exerted on a prop in an ever changing environment...well, you know what I mean.  I can pull out a tape and measure diameter.  I have to take someone's word on pitch.

JMHO.
