Well, I have a side job re-wiring a 1998 Proline 183 Flats that I was told by brad1951, as well as others at the plant that it wouldn't a lot of fun...they were right!  Especially since the boat sat neglected for over 2 years.

So, once I got into her, here are the results.

The back end's done, the console is done, tomorrow, I set up his 2 trolling motor batts in the bow, wire the fuel sender and the nav lights.  Then will come the fuel line replacement.  That's gonna be a fun one, as his tank lives at the aft end of the foredeck, and the feed line tends to run in ways that I can only imagine...or at least feel for!

He needs new cockpit lights, that's why I just have leads running to the cutouts.  The lead (on an accessory switch) on the top underside of the console is for a future fishfinder.  I thought labeling the fuse holders and leads (adhesive labels coated with clear Sally Hansen "Hard as Nails" nail polish") will ease issues down the road.

So, besides eating great food, enjoying my wonderful wife, enjoying the Gators KICK SOME PROVERBIAL ARSE, and drinking a few beers, that's what I've been up to... Cheers Cheers Cheers

Looks great.  The one thing that I do is use white tie straps.  For my old eyes, it makes it easier to find in the event I need to unbundle a group of wires by clipping the straps.  This brings back memories of when I rewired my 17' Proline where squirls had eaten through the main bundle of wires.  Instead of rewiring the entire  system, I spliced from a clean cut area after taking out the rod holder panel, and ran new wires from the dash back to that area.  Well, I am color blind.  My wife drove me nuts.  According to her there are 100 shades of every color.  Following the schematic I would ask her for a color wire as listed on the chart.  It was never the right color to her.  Our now 35 years of marriage, almost ended at 12 years ago!

She'll get over it!  Wassup, bud?  Man, this little boat hasn't been fun, but once I got into her and ripped all the old sh!t out, it kind of opened up to allow me to do it the way I wanted to.  The 3/8" fuel line is definitely going to be a challenge.  Seems the line runs forward in it's own rigging pipe (from feel, I'm guessing 1"), but there is absolutely no where it's exposed except on top of the tank.  I'm going to take the tank end off the barb and see if I can move it back and forth in the rigging pipe RELATIVELY easy, then drill hole in the walls of the old and the new and tie them together to pull the new one through.

He want's the lines replaced on  the powerhead (Yamaha VMax 150), but after looking at it, it's just a bunch of the thin-wall Yamaha fuel line pieced together, instead of pre-formed (and therefore expensive) lines.

The fuel/water separator will be a piece of cake.  Re-located his trolling motor batts fwd, just need to finish that up.

BUT NOT TODAY!!  Just dropped from 45 to 44 degrees!  In 28 years of living in Florida, I've never seen a day where it didn't get out of the 40s!

Should be an interesting football day.  Nobody's kicking anybody's ass right now...Drew Brees, 3rd on the depth chart...whatever!

When I replaced my fuel line on my boat I gave up on following the chase with the new line and cut a new hole in the back bulkhead and just snaked the new line through. My tank also sets forward like the old Stalkers were , best I recall we used the same tank as the 183s.

Brad,
Send you a pic tomorrow of the deck layout.  I'm going to give it a try, but I may end up doing it like you did.  If I can get the old feed hose to move in the tube... Undecided

Hey, what's another 4" pie?
