I have been wondering what caused that Everglades to Turn Turtle at  Anchor.
Now USCG thinks it knows.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-missingboaters-nfl&prov=ap&type=lgns

Tried to power out the anchor with it secured to the stern?

I tried to imagine how this happened but I never thought stern...
probably ok in a double ender (seldom seen) but not good in a square transom.

You Florida Guys may have know already but the ret of us were scratching our heads

Cal,
Unfortunately, we have had all the opportunities in the world to figure out why this happened.  Unfortunately, 3 lives were lost affording us that insight.

In our business, it is often said (but not carved in stone), "Boat owners have too much money, and not enough brains."

Cruel and harsh?  Maybe.  True?  Maybe, also.

I love boats, as those who know me can tell.  But I also know, and HIGHLY respect the power of Mother Nature.  I, or any other man, pales in her comparison.

One of the men lost is from Crystal River, where I work...
