Yoda very, very well done!!!

My 2000 25 (251) has material very similar to your old stuff - even darker -  and I want to replace it with something lighter in tans and browns as you did. The V-Berth portion of your cabin is very similar to mine so it's great to see what the difference can be.

If you have time, some questions:

Did you do it all yourself?
Did you use special marine fabric?
Did you use special marine flooring?
Did you make that table?
Did you consider getting thicker foam cushions?
Do the pads/bolsters come off easily?
They look covered in a vinyl or naugahyde, is that right?

Sorry for so many questions but you've done exactly what I want to do to freshen up the cabin. How long did the whole project take?

Thank you all.
My husband asked me to respond to the questions below about our renovation project:

The project took about 3 week from fabric selection to completion.

Did you do it all yourself?...............Got a upholstery maker to do it.  He was very good and came made several trips to the boat to ensure the bulster fit.  Since we extended the width we had trouble to install it but became creative to find a solution for it to work.

Did you use special marine fabric?............his is in door / out door fabric.  It's about $180 per yard but found it on internet for $128 per yard, fast delivery no sales tax.........http://www.discountfabricsusacorp.com/outdoorfabrics1.html

Did you use special marine flooring?............regular wood floor......wave design

Did you make that table?..............My husband made the table from an old hatch floor

Did you consider getting thicker foam cushions?............not really.  But a friend of mine use an air mattress in his boat over the cushions

Do the pads/bolsters come off easily?............See picture above...... the pad is on th ply wood does not come off

They look covered in a vinyl or naugahyde, is that right? ............]http://www.miamicorp.com/products/VINYL/MARINE%20VINYLS/CANYON.aspx............Stock$18.38/YD    TCA005 Studio Canyon Mudslide Vinyl4 in ...........retain store wanted $53.00 per yard

Well the kids are asleep awaiting Santa's arrival - but I already received my present when you posted those pictures and answered my questions.

You did an outstanding job. Your "new" boat looks great.

It's such a huge benefit to me to be able to see the difference such a project makes to the interior. I can't wait to get started. Great idea with the double bolster setup. That really looks nice. I doubt I can copy that, but the rest I think I can do myself.

Again - thanks - and great job!!!

Yodaone,

Looks great. I have a 99 2950WA and wanted to know if those windows in the cabin are the exact match for the 2950?

Also, If you are looking for the access hatches in the back, on the port side of the captains seat and the anchor locker. The exact match is DPI.inc. I replaced mine and they fit perfectly. Same screw holes.

Here is the link :  http://www.dpiassociates.com/

I also redid my cabin, I will send you pictures soon.

Thanks

did you use any type of adhesive for the flooring or did you just lay it down on top of the original fiberglass

Instead of real hardwood, I'm thinking about using wood-look vinyl. Lowes carries a number of colors. It's sort of cushion-y, would work well with adhesive or two-sided tape, and would be a lot easier for me to install. The vinyl will be very easy to clean and replace if necessary, although I'd be sacrificing the rich look of real hardwood.

Under the table looks pretty easy to do, but the sole in front of the fridge has both an access hatch and a small drain that could be challenging.
