I don't know how the boat was made so I'm not sure where the proper places are?
Suggestions?
What is the tube going into the bilge.  There is one port and one star.  Running athwart ships.  They are right in front of the transom.

Chad,
Those 2 tubes, probably PVC pipe, are drain tubes through the stringers that are supposed to drain the outboard compartments to the bilge.  The problem is, your "standing" water can't get to those compartments so it can drain.

I am betting that your battery board is glassed to the outboard edge of the hull, more or less directly above the chine.  If you remove your batts so you can get a good look in there, I think you would see a "dip" right after the board ends on the outboard side.  This would be the layer of glass sagging when the board was glassed in.  If that is the case, drill a 1/4" hole in that dip (careful, only drill through the layer of glass).  Pour some water in the area it normally pools, and see if you get any draining action through that hole.

Report back with your findings... Thumbs Up

Do you mean in this area?  It would be hard to get a drill in the space to get the hole.  I guess it could be at a side angle?

Thoughts on the cutting area?  Or should I say drilling?

Chad,
Outboard of that really crappy looking white cockpit drain hose...

Damn, you need some serious work done in that batt compartment to clean it up.  Here's a pic of the batt compartment I did a couple of days ago on a '98 Proline 183 flats that I'm re-wiring:

Installed the batt tray and batt today, it's charging as the owner THOUGHT his batts were good... Roll Eyes

Here's the helm:

From scratch, wiring, switches, breakers, whatever...

As you can see, I like what I do.  So clean up that back end, and we can get to the bottom of your pooling water in your batt compartment...

See that rust on the hose clamp securing the drain line to the cockpit scupper???

Try removing and re-sealing the cockpit drain housings on both sides.

Is the boat resting at such an angle that water can pool on the seat and then leak into the battery compartment over the ridge?

It also appears that water that sloshes into the engine well may push into the cable routing hole(s).

I have also learned that the hoses shown in the pictures tend to leak...even when tightened down with hose clamps. You can't really replace them because of the bends they need to make... so solid hoses may not work. Try re-connecting them and add some silicone sealant on the barb fitting when you do.

The water would only be able to enter from the deck drains since the water is there when its on the trailer.  So the conduit hole shouldnt come into play.  I am thinking most of it is coming from the gunnel pole holders that have no covers on them.  Some may be from the lid of the fish box as well.  Until we get out of this crazy freezing weather I am stuck with it the way it is.  Other then those 2 places mentioned I cant see how water is getting in there while sitting on the trailer.  Its definetly from rain!

From looking at your photo it appears to me that the foam on the edge is bulged up and is higher than the battery board, If that is the case you can cut the foam level with the battery board. you can use a hack saw blade to cut with then repaint. You are going to get water through the rod holders if they are not covered.

At first it looks like foam but its frozen water.  That is the water I am trying to get from pooling.  The battery board is above this area so I would have to cut a channel just aft of the battery board to allow water into the bilge somehow?
