My 1995 walk has a 6 switch panel with the gages.  One or two are finally bad and I want to replace them.  Are they standard size?  Brand?  They seem to have about 4-5 connectors even for a simple ON-OFF, like cabin light.  Any help is appreciated..

Tight lines

Van,
Your boat should be using Carling Switches like these:
http://rocker-switches.carlingtech.com/sealed-rocker-switch__19.asp

The only switch that will have 4-5 spade terminals will be your nav light switch.  The others will have 3 terminals, the center for the feed, the bottom for the appliance being powered, and the top for a ground to energize the indicator light.

Thanks Bob:

I will get a better look at the terminals when I uncover  Angry  IN APRIL !!!

I found these and saw the same word "contura" in this webiste
http://bluesea.com/category/4/productline/overview/147

So does contura mean they are the same?

Yes, they are the same.  Carling makes Blue Seas switches.  PM me on your needs.

My carling switches and Sea Choice had extra contacts for illumination of switch when on. when I redid my switches I used Sea Choice a few years ago and still working great. And the price of the switches weren't that bad either.

Aye seabob4, can you just replace the switch covers only?  Mine are faded and difficult if not impossible to discern what the symbol is, since that's the case I have used a label printer to make a list of my switches and what each one functions are.  I would like to replace the faded switch/rocker covers only & not the switch itself if possible?

26,
Absolutely!  Give me a list of your switch functions, and I can get you set up.  White, or black?  Of course, illuminated when circuit is energized.  They are called switch caps...

2 replies in one here.

26Walk, what about your horn and nav lgts?    Did you forget them, or are they in good enough shape where you can read them?  You might want to think about those too.  They'll look kind of sh!tty next to the new caps...

Van, kinda sucks that you can't get in to your boat until spring...
So just PM me in March to remind me, and we'll get you taken care of.

26,
With the switches in the off position (or, with an on/off/on, the "down" side pushed), stick your index finger behind the top side of the switch and pull towards you.  They'll come off, but the resistance to their letting go might scare you.  Don't be scared.

They pop in a lot easier... Cheers

Bob, I was also wandering if I could replace just the switch caps. I have a 2003 25 Sport CC would you have replacements or could you direct me to a supplier. Any help would be appreciated because the switches on there now are rather unsightly and unreadable.

Thanks again,

I made replacement labels using a Brother P-Touch labeler. Works great! Sized to fit and applied directly to the switch cap.

Glad you mentioned that, kinda forgot about them over on the starboard side of the panel, yes I will need the nav & horn also as they are faded as well, thanks Seabob. Thumbs Up  Also how about two of the latches that close the rear seat leading into the bildge on the 2001 26walk these are starting to fall apart.  I can get a pic of the ones mounted if need be...let me know. appears they are made out of some kind of rubber? (white in color if there are choices.) Thanks in advance!
