Alex,
When you're ready to do the windlass, drop me a line.  Do me a favor sometime over the holidays.  Stick your head in your anchor locker (no, this isn't something "kinky"!), look over to the starboard side where your nav lght/horn wiring is, and see if you have a fairly heavy gauge red and black wire running along with the others.  That would be a "Windlass Pre-wire", which would make life a WHOLE lot easier for both of us...

At times, Proline would include that as part of the deck harness.  But as times got tighter, and costs had to be reduced (it's not just Proline, it's all builders), the pre-wire was eliminated from the harness...shame, shame, shame... Undecided

Count on the call from me when I'm ready for the windlass install.  Will check the anchor locker and let ya know what I observed....i"m hoping I see the pre installed wire as I'm all for having less PITA stuff to deal with I agree with ya.  Yea I think every body in the manufacturing business has cut back on the lil extra special things to save some $$$$$$ guess it's smart business if it keeps you in business. Chat at ya later Bob.
