I have some magazine reviews from '99. All 3 said good things about the 3310........but most reviews aren't too critical.

What are some real world reviews and opinions. I have never had the oportunity to board/ride one.

Thanks,
Warren

Although the 33 was a short lived model it was well liked by its owners with few warranty problems. When the 35 was put into production the 33 was dropped from the line due to the 32 and 35 filling the market nitch for the size of boat in its class. As far as options it was outfitted about the same as the 35.

Brad:

Any particular warranty issues that you can speak to??? As far as the diesel options, which do you prefer? Cats or Yanmars?

Warren,
Might be time for me to chime in here.  I prefer Yanmars for 2 reasons.  First, Yanmars have a lot smaller footprint than Cats, which allows quite a bit more room in the engine room, and on a boat this small with twins, you need all the room you can get!  Second, they spool up faster and top out at 4300, as opposed to Cat's 3300 or so, thus you have a greater range of props to allow the boat to achieve it's best performance.

The Cats are excellent motors, but they are beasts.  I've done many a 440 HP twin Yanmar install (6LY2A-STP) and there is a ton of room between them on a 34 or 37 Stamas.  On 32s, we did the 370s, basically the same thing, as they are narrow in-line 6s.
