Warren,
I don't know if your familiar with the 2950, but it was a great boat with bracket mounted O/Bs.  But believe it or not, some "brilliant" person back in the 90s decided it would be really neat to build it as a twin I/O and a twin I/B!  And the I/Os were tucked under the transom!  That person should have been shot long ago!

Bob C

I have never climbed around on one but the pictures I have seen of the twin I/O version gives me nightmares in terms of access and maintenance. But, if you could buy a used one at next to nothing and repower with a single VP diesel I/O and get a high twenties cruise and 2-3 mpg economy..........with a clean transom and a big livewell tucked into a corner. I have given it some thought!

You know, back when I was with Stamas, we built a 270 Express with a 330HP TAM-D whatever and a Duoprop that topped out at 47MPH on the GPS.  Yeah, I had to put the motor in on a 45 and then walk her back to the gimbal, but at least most of the motor was out in the open when you pulled the engine box.

Had to do some deck mods, though...clearance issues, you know. Shocked

Vitali,
The 350MAG is a relatively small motor.  With a Bravo3 would make for a nice package.  And no shoehorning... Wink
