Tis the season for hogs, everywhere from the reefs to Block Island the fishing for big stripers has been particularly outstanding.  The 240 Sport makes routine offshore trips to about 14 miles.  Runs great, excellent in rough water.  Thankfully trim tabs make life livable!  Here are some from this year.

Thanks.  I had trouble loading about 5 more pictures but you get the idea.  I love my 240....especially the washdown, scuppers, and hand sink in back.  And the deck space back there is excellent for numerous guys to be dealing with fish and gear.

Scott,
BEAUTIFUL fish!!!

Did you pull power for the electric downriggers from the stern, or did you feed them from the console?

They are wired to a power source in the stern.  They plug into flush mounted outlets under the rod racks.

Those Scottys are sweet!  I had two Scotty electrics with fixed 6' arams and two Scotty manuals with extendable booms when I operated my charter boat in Cooperstown, NY.  I am surprised to see so many Penn FathomMasters here in FL.  I see the Scottys as far superior.  I saw a beautiful Regulator in the 30' range all decked out and it had one cheesy Penn on the port stern.  I am also surprised how few use downriggers here.  I will be putting two Scottys on my newly acquired 251 and employing some of my northern 'rigger techniques in the mix as I learn to fish here.
Nice job on the Stripers!

Tripilot,
You are in the south now, better behave yourself!  Actually, I think us Yankees (Chicago boy myself) could teach the folks down here a thing or two...
