i've had my 201 way for about a year now.  it is a 96 model w/ a 97 200.  5 blade stn-stl prop.  this boat is awsome.  cuts the water like no other, rides like a cadillac in 2 foot chop and rollers.  i haven't had the chance to sleep on it yet, but i've laid down in the cuddy and i don't think spending a week in there would be a problem.  my only problem with her is there aren't any rod holders built in,  there are some in the gunnels, but none on top.  Thanks proline for such a well built vessel.

We bought a 1995 201 WA this year and are also quite happy with it so far. The previous owner added some vertical rod holders to the front of the outboard well and we added a couple of rail mount holders. Ours came with a 2002 150 hp engine which is the max rated for the boat. It seems fine to us and we are running 30+ on the GPS. That is max in the ICW in our area so no complaints.

If anyone has tips or warnings, please let us know.

Ahoy,

I might buy back my 1997 201 wa. I owned it for a while in 2001 when I used it to commute across the SF Bay. It took a pounding for maybe an hour a day into often 5ft steep breaking chop driving into 20-25kn breeze and did well for it's size.

So now the guy who I sold it to wants to sell it back ($10K to him in 2001 and he's asking $6K in 2010 but includes new powerhead on ~2000 SW Merc outboard)
I probably should get a bigger boat; have kids now and want to take families out on trips but we're concerned with how many passengers and their stuff we can haul around.

My hope is someone with a manual could take a gander and reply with the passenger or oterwise max recommended payload

Thanks
