Hello,

I posted a similar question in general discussion, but this looks to be the correct place to ask. I am considering purchasing a 2005 Proline 32 Express and the prior owner (repo) removed the generator and A/C unit. Would you know what brand and model generator and a/c unit this boat would have had, and any ideas as to cost to replace?

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,
The 32 Express is an excellent boat.  Dry and fast.  What motors are on her?  250 Verados?  Nice low 50s topend and an easy 35 cruise.  Now, on to your questions.  I'm assuming that the previous owner only pulled the AC unit and Genset out of the boat, not all the ancillary stuff, i.e. ductwork, strainers, pump, pickups, exhaust, etc.  If that is the case, then your cost will be substantially less than the entire systems.  Currently we are using a 16K BTU unit on the 32, and a Westerbeke 5KW genset.  When your boat was built (which at that time I was still with Stamas Yacht), Proline used a 12K AC unit and a Kohler 5KW.  The cost of the AC unit would probably be around $1500, the Genset around $5000.  Each could be plumbed directly into the existing systems with very little mods.

Hello seabob,

Thanks for the reply. Yes it's equipped with 250 Verados, sounds like they will cruise right where I hoped they would. Now I have to see if I can get the deal done.

Thanks,
Paul

Vitali,
Can you post a link to the 32 Express you say not to buy?  What is wrong with it?
