12/1/11 this post is a bit different than my last similar one but  remember your boat doesnt like to sit idle.
IF You havent already....
run engine on flusher,
change your engine oil and filter,
change your fuel filter element and look for signs of water or sediment.  fog 2 stroke engines if mfr reccomends.
change your drive lube and look for signs of water.
either empty your tank or fill all the way and ad stabilizer/preservative
(store n start, sea foam,pri-G,startron soltron etc.)
run super 2-3xstabilized fuel from a small outboard can  so as to fill carb or fuel rail on efi engine then shut off.
drain water from engine block if in area freezing is possible . safe antifreeze may be added.
make notes of any problem areas for repair.
shut off battery, shut off fuel valve, place battery on trickle chg
cover boat, block up trailer etc

Good info....

I don't winterize, its not necessary where I am. When we have freeze forecasts, I run a 100W light in my engine compartment to keep the chill away.

Also, pump empty your FW system and head holding tanks. Then add RV anti-freeze into the 2 systems and purge through. Keeps the hoses from splitting.
