ARE Those fish some kind of giant mackeral?
are they what you southern guys call king mackeral or what they call wahoo in mexico. whatever, nice fish , they look like they can fly like a missile.
the pacific mackeral near us (California) are about 1-2 pounds.
congrats on first trip, and thanks for psoting with pics3

Hi 231, Here in Aus we call them spanish mackerel or "spaniards" awesome fish, great fight, great eating, I think same as your king mackeral, can reach 100lb although rare on east coast, that one went 60 lb. Here's one that went 80lb.

Nice, great eating too.
that 80# would be  fish of a lifetime here.

what kind of cooler do you keep them in.

seems like they are long, a 240qt wouldnt hold one with lid closed.

Yep big cooler for these big ones, 300ltr or 318qt, mine is 1300mm or 52 in long and you still have to curl them in. Lucky majority of these spanish are around the 30 - 40 lb mark.
