I am getting ready to mount some Taco GS-270 outriggers on my 2007 25 walk I believe these are the same outriggers you can order from the factory with your boat.  I am wondering if anyone knows if I need the taco wedges  when mounting the outriggers or if the hard top is flat enough to mount directly to the top.  If the wedges are used which ones I have seen 6,11,and 15degrees?  If anyone has mounted similar outriggers and has any advice I would appreciate it.

Hafa Adai!  I don't know about the angles but you made me realize what the wedges on my boat are for!  DOH!  Huh?

I just finished building some planer boards that are very popular here in the Chesapeake Bay and work like a charm!  Like having 100' outriggers on each side for $30!  Here's a link thanks to Downtime Charters who I have not had the opportunity to thank: http://www.downtimecharters.com/Ideas/Planer_boards/planner_boards-plans2010.pdf

Another reason I posted was cuz I spent 6 years as a Navy Brat, albeit on the civilian side, in Guam '54-'60' and wonder how the boating is there now.  Back then the island was recovering from WWII (machine gun holes in the rocks and blackened caves across from my school) (for you youngsters, Guam had major fighting and the Japanese had taken over the island.  Our Marines and Navy won back the island) and "the marina" was some two short pier place with a near-sunken sloop in one of the slips.  The boats I knew of were all trailered.

Google shows you have real marinas now and I hope boating and fishing are major activities there now.  Why not?  You got the fish.   Cheers  Any pictures?
