I have a 2006 35 Express with 250 Verados and am considering a repower to 300s. Wondering if any one has experence with the 300s or if this would be worth the expense for performance and GPH???
ALSO:  Has anyone completely repowered with 350 Yamaha's??
Thanks

That hull was rated for 900hp, 600 hp still sound on the low end of what you need.  I would consider adding a 3rd 250.  It would be the lowest cost vice repowering 2 whole engines.  You can probably pick up a 06-08 Verado 250 that is still in the crate for well under the cost of repowering with twin 300's.  You also get the added benefit of being able to run if you loose a motor.  One 300 won't put that boat on plane.  I don't think a single 350 Yamaha would either.

Thanks.  I am concerned about the added weight and fuel usage of a third 250 and also have a metal transom plate sized for two engines which appears would need some major structural transom retrofitting.  Wish Mercury would have a big bore V-8 450hp or more (times two) for off shore boats.
