On my 08 23' Sports CC the hatch for the battery box has no rubber gasket.  Should there be one?  Every time I wash the inside of the boat a lot of water enters the bilge.  If there should be one, where do I buy the proper gasket??

LOOK FOR MFR NAME MOLDED on inside of hatch door, but you likely need to buy a whole hatch, hope im wrong but who knows.
hatches are avail online from a few suppliers but may not be identical.
or you could try and glue some weather strip in the groove but never tried it myself.

231 CALIFORNIA----Why would anyone need to buy the whole hatch door in order to put a rubber seal around the inside of the hatch opening?
Does anyone with a 23' Sports CC have an answer for me???

You can build a gasket fairly easily.  Run a thin bead of silicone caulk around the inside of the lid.  Cover the bead of silicone with plastic wrap and shut the door.  When the silicone cures the plastic wrap can be peeled off since it won't stick to the silicone.  You should have good water tight seal.
