Does my boat (1998 241 WA with I/O) have cable or hydraulic steering?
The reason I ask is I'm looking into getting an autopilot for trolling.
Thanks,
Tim

YOU PROBABLY HAVE what I would call
"power assisted cable steering."
not true hydraulic, as helm to outdrive is cable steering, but when engine is running it is hydrulically assisted.
contact mfr and they will let you know asap what is recommended.
that is excellent question since system is not hydraulic or pure cable
and lots of us have them.
