Hi Y'all. I keep stumbling across this site looking for information for my newly aquired 2002 Proline 23 Sport, so figured I'd join and show you what I'm up against.
The whole story on The Hull Truth..
http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/355751-price-check-aisle-12-neglected-low-hour-boat.htmlLong story short, I found this Pro-Line in a neighbors yard, it had been sitting for 6 or so years, uncovered, cushions in, under cypress trees. There were bushes growing out of the fishboxes. Turns out the owner hurt his back before putting almsot 100 hours on the Merc 225 EFI, and it's been parked since. I made him an offer, he accepted, and I after a brief ordeal, drug it home.
as found..aint she pretty

home now

Spent the better part of a day cleaning it up. Lots-o-bleach, and 2 gallons of gas through the pressure washer..

So, that was the first weekend. I've had a few weekends since, and this is what I've done so far:
Replaced trailer springs, hubs, all lower hardware, and wheels/tires.
Bled the steering
Pumped 60+ gallons from the fuel tank and wiped it clean inside.
Replaced the VST Tank.
Pulled the old nasty fuel line from tank to engine.
Cleaned the low pressure pump.
Cleaned the fuel rail, throttle body, and flushed the injectors.
Hooked up engine to remote tank and flushed engine fuel lines.
Replaced plugs
A few other small engine related things..
Fired her up last weekend and she sounds pretty good. woop.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOJbQIX7U8g&feature=youtu.beI still have a crapload of stuff to do. This weekend I plan on replacing the fuel line from tank to engine, and installing my new water seperator. Also plan to replace the shift/throttle cables, and the rigging tube. Then the water pump, and a few fresh batteries. With that, the engine side of the project will be pretty much done.
To do:
T-Top Canvas (is on the way)
Upholstery (anyone here recommend anyone?)
Sort all the wiring and pumps/minor electrical
Cut/Buff the hull inside and out
Go fishing
I've never owned a Pro-Line, nor a Merc outboard, so I am looking forward to any and all advice or assistance with this project.
